Proposal Development
Techshot can manage for a small business the entire process of preparing a Phase I or II SBIR proposal. The tasks that would be performed include the following:
- Assist in defining the technology or product that will be proposed.
- Identify likely agency topics to which to propose.
- Provide coaching/counseling for topic author interview process.
- Assist in selecting one agency and topic in which to submit proposal.
- Develop commercialization plan (Phase II only).
- Write one proposal for the agency selected.
- Assist with the proposal submission process to one agency.
The small business would be responsible for the following tasks:
- Identify the technology or product for which a proposal will be submitted.
- Identify a PI possessing sufficient technical experience and capabilities.
- Lead the topic author review process.
- Assist Techshot in the proposal writing process by contributing information that is fundamental to the technology and business.
- Make available, within reasonable periods of time, its senior management and technical personnel to provide key information required for the proposal.
- Submit proposal to the selected agency.
Techshot typically requires at least eight (8) weeks after the identification of an agency topic to prepare a proposal; therefore, it is imperative to begin the proposal development process at least twelve (12) weeks prior to the agency deadline.
